I created this character because I am so intrigued by the power of sadness in the eyes. The way it stays with you, as if with every blink a little piece of you dies. His eyes carry so much bereavement and his fragile exterior reflects that. His skin is as thin as tissue paper but his hands rough and withered. He is as real to me as anyone. He is my muse.....

The beginning

I am a painter who is constantly trying to grasp my own personal identity as an artist. With this blog I will publish my changes and new work to better understand where I'm going with it all.
